Ralph M. Courage, CPWA®, CIMA®, CFP®, CLU®

Over many decades, Ralph Courage built a successful portfolio management and retirement plan practice in Tidewater, Virginia with a major global wealth management firm. In 2006, Jeff Miller joined Ralph as a partner in the Courage Group. In 2008, in order to better serve our clients, Ralph and Jeff successfully moved the practice to form an independent Registered Investment Advisor firm, Courage Miller Partners, LLC. (CMP).

In 2024, in order to continue to expand client support and to build on a solid foundation of multi-generational family and institutional relationships, Ralph and Jeff have partnered with the highly respected father and son team at Korving & Company. to build Courage Korving Miller Partners, LLC. (CKMP)!

As we build CKMP, Ralph continues to serve as a Managing Member and Chief Compliance Officer of Courage Miller Partners, LLC. with the vision of merging firms. He is a primary point of contact with the firm’s clients to oversee fiduciary services in investment management, company retirement plans, and financial planning.

In the Financial Services Industry since 1976, Ralph serves families, trusts, medical practices, small businesses, and institutions. Prior to co-founding Courage Miller Partners in 2008, Ralph was a Senior Vice President – Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager – Portfolio Management Program for the global wealth management firm. He was a member of the President’s Council.

Ralph has worked diligently to acquire knowledge that would be helpful for clients. In this pursuit, he has earned important fiduciary services credentials and professional designations. Ralph continues to study and grow, maintaining the considerable number of continuing professional education credit hour requirements.

Ralph and his wife, Kathy, met at Virginia Tech, dated through college, married after graduation, and have built a wonderful family life together since 1976 in Virginia Beach. Both are very active with interests and maintain full schedules. The Courage family includes two wonderful daughters. Katherine Courage is the Client Relations Manager for Courage Miller Partners and the Administrative Manager for CKMP - Norfolk. Kelsey is building K. Courage Designs LLC.
